Privacy policy

How Spike Easy LLC collects, uses and shares personal information when you use our website and services.

Last updated: October 10, 2026

Who we are

Spike Easy LLC operates this website and the Spike Easy Beach Volleyball Academy. In this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” mean Spike Easy LLC. This policy explains how we handle information from website visitors, people who contact us, and customers who book classes or purchase merchandise when the shop is available.

For privacy questions or requests, email hello@spike-easy.com or use our contact form. Our business mailing address is 350 Sansome Street, Suite 820 PMB 1122, 94104 San Francisco, CA.

Information we collect and why

We receive information you provide, information generated when you use the website, and updates from the providers that process your bookings, payments and orders.

Payment card details are entered into the payment provider’s secure fields or hosted checkout. Our website receives payment references and status rather than your full card number or security code. Please do not put payment card details or unnecessary sensitive information in inquiry forms or booking notes.

Who receives information

We use Cloudflare for hosting and spam protection, Slack for inquiry delivery and internal booking notifications, FullClass for bookings and waitlists, Resend for contact records and email, and PostHog for analytics and error monitoring. When the shop is available, Stripe processes payments, Printful fulfills orders, and Google Maps Platform can suggest and validate shipping addresses. Stripe can also process class payments when enabled in FullClass.

When advertising measurement is enabled, Meta and Google receive the information described in the service details below, subject to your ad-sharing choice. Advertising providers may use identifiers and activity across websites for their own advertising purposes. This can constitute “sale” or “sharing” under applicable privacy laws even without an exchange of money. Use Your Privacy Choices to opt out.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, or as necessary to protect people, prevent fraud and resolve disputes. Providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws can differ. The service details below explain the information involved in each website integration.

Email and marketing choices

The email-marketing checkbox on our inquiry forms and shop checkout is optional and starts unchecked. Academy bookings use the marketing preference recorded in FullClass. We store contact records in Resend whether or not you choose marketing emails, together with your preference; keeping a contact record does not itself subscribe you to marketing or override an existing unsubscribe.

You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or contact us at hello@spike-easy.com. Messages needed to answer your inquiry or manage a booking, payment or shipment are separate from marketing emails.

Cookies, analytics and advertising choices

The website uses cookies and browser storage to remember privacy choices, preserve checkout information and measure website use. The storage list below explains their contents and the lifetimes controlled by this website.

Choose Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information in the privacy banner, reopen Cookie Settings in the footer, or visit Your Privacy Choices to turn off our Meta and Google advertising measurement. When those integrations are enabled, they can run before you make a choice unless your browser sends Global Privacy Control or already has an opt-out saved.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) by keeping advertising integrations and session recording off. It takes priority over Accept All. The older Do Not Track browser setting does not control our tracking. Your saved cookie choice applies to that browser; use the setting on each browser or device you use. Clearing cookies can remove the saved choice.

PostHog analytics remains active when available, including after an advertising opt-out or GPC signal. It measures visits, interactions and conversions and reports errors. Session recording is separate and starts only after you choose Accept All in the privacy banner. It records page interactions to help us improve the site, with input fields masked and inquiry, waitlist, checkout and confirmation areas excluded. Acceptance of an older banner that did not mention recording does not enable it.

To withdraw permission, open Cookie Settings in the footer and choose Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. This stops session recording and opts out of advertising sharing. It does not delete recordings already collected with your permission; contact us to request deletion. Hosting, fraud protection, inquiry delivery, contact storage, bookings and payments continue to work.

You can use your browser’s controls to block or clear cookies and other site data. Doing so can remove saved checkout details and preferences or affect website functionality.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on the record and its purpose, including responding to an inquiry, providing a booked class, fulfilling an order, maintaining waiver and transaction records, honoring communication preferences and resolving disputes or legal obligations. There is no single automatic deletion period for all information held in Slack, Resend, FullClass, payment services and analytics. Their account settings and the type of record also affect retention. Contact us to ask about a particular record or request deletion.

Some website records have automatic limits. Our unpaid merchandise order-processing records are scheduled for deletion seven days after checkout starts. Fulfilled or canceled order records are scheduled for deletion 90 days after payment; unresolved orders remain until resolved. These limits apply to our order-processing store, not automatically to separate payment, fulfillment or email records. Saved booking contact details last for the tab’s browsing session. After you choose Accept All, checkout also uses them on that browser for up to 30 days; the local-storage record remains until replaced, cleared, or removed by checkout after you opt out or while your browser sends GPC. Other browser-storage periods are listed below.

Unsubscribing stops marketing; it does not automatically delete booking, order or inquiry records. A suppression record can remain so an unsubscribe is honored.

Children and guardian information

Our inquiry and booking forms are intended to be completed by adults. The Kids’ Classes inquiry asks for the adult’s contact details and interests. When registering a child for a class, the booking flow can collect the child’s name and age, guardian name and email, and guardian or waiver acceptance. These details are used to manage participation and the related booking.

If you believe a child submitted personal information directly, or you want to review or request deletion of information you supplied about a child, contact hello@spike-easy.com. Please avoid including unnecessary information about children in free-text messages.

Your requests and rights

You can contact us to ask about personal information we hold, request a copy or correction, or request deletion. Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct or delete information, obtain a portable copy, opt out of sale or sharing, or limit certain uses of sensitive information. We handle requests under applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Send requests to hello@spike-easy.com or our contact form. Tell us what you are requesting and which email address you used with us. We may need to verify your identity or, if someone acts for you, their authority before releasing or changing records. Do not send identity documents unless we ask for them. An ad-sharing opt-out through the banner or GPC does not require an account.

Some information may need to be retained to complete a service, comply with law, prevent fraud or handle a legal claim. Where a request is limited or declined, we will explain the reason as required by applicable law. You may also raise concerns with your relevant privacy regulator.

Security and other websites

The website uses HTTPS, server-side credentials for private integrations, and signature checks on supported payment and booking callbacks. No transmission or storage system is completely secure. Links to other websites, including social media and customer portals, lead to services whose own privacy notices and practices apply.

Changes to this policy

We will post updates on this page and change the date above. If a change requires additional notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide it. For questions about this policy, contact Spike Easy LLC at hello@spike-easy.com.

Service providers and browser storage

These services process information for the features described below. A service receives information only when the corresponding feature is available and used; advertising measurement also depends on your privacy choice. Shop-specific services and storage apply when the shop is available.

PostHog

Counts visits and conversions and monitors website errors, so we can understand what works and fix problems.

  • Pages visited, program views, checkout starts, minigame interactions and, when the shop is available, product views and cart activity.
  • Successful inquiry submissions and verified purchases, including the program or products, payment reference, currency and amount.
  • Browser error types, code locations and the website version, linked to your anonymous visit. Arbitrary error messages, form answers and URL query values are removed from error reports.
  • The campaign values from the first link that brought you here, attached to every one of those events.
  • Only after you choose Accept All in Cookie Settings, a recording of page interactions. Inputs are masked, and inquiry, waitlist, checkout and confirmation areas are excluded. Opting out or sending Global Privacy Control stops recording.
  • Browser identifiers, IP address and device information, which can be used to estimate your location and count returning visits. Our server-side analytics events do not include your email address or IP address.

The ad-sharing opt-out does not disable this service.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram)

When enabled, measures which Instagram and Facebook ads produce sign-ups and bookings.

  • A page view, and an event when you look at a program, open a checkout, send a form or complete a booking, with the program, the lead topic or the amount.
  • Through Meta's pixel, browser and device information, IP address, pages viewed and cookie identifiers.
  • From the site's server, for a form or a booking only: your IP address, your browser's user agent, Meta's own _fbp and _fbc cookies if they exist, and your email address hashed with SHA-256. Hashing allows matching and does not make the information anonymous.

Stops when you switch the ad tracking off, or when your browser sends Global Privacy Control.

Google (Analytics 4 and Google Ads)

When enabled, measures website use and which Google ads produce sign-ups and bookings.

  • A page view, and an event when you look at a program, open a checkout or send a form, with the program or the lead topic.
  • A purchase event with the booking reference, program and total after our server verifies payment.
  • Through Google's tag, browser and device information, IP address, page addresses and cookie identifiers. Our website does not send server-side advertising events to Google.

Stops when you switch the ad tracking off, or when your browser sends Global Privacy Control.

Slack

Delivers inquiries and booking notifications to private channels for our team.

  • For inquiries: your name, email address, phone number if you gave one, and your answers. For bookings: the booker's name, email address and available phone number, class or course name, booking reference, number of places and sessions, total and payment status. For a checkout closed without booking: the name, email address and phone number entered, the class, number of places and the time.
  • Whether you chose to receive email updates from Spike Easy.
  • One line naming the campaign that first brought you to the site, when there was one.

The ad-sharing opt-out does not disable this service.

Cloudflare Turnstile

Helps protect inquiry forms from automated spam and abuse.

  • A verification token and your IP address when our server checks a submission.
  • Browser and device signals collected by Cloudflare's verification widget when it loads.
  • Nothing you typed into the form.

The ad-sharing opt-out does not disable this service.

Cloudflare

Hosts the website, runs its server features and provides security and operational monitoring.

  • IP address, browser information, requested URLs, request timing and operational logs. Information submitted to website endpoints passes through Cloudflare before being sent to the relevant service.

The ad-sharing opt-out does not disable this service.

FullClass

Provides class schedules, takes bookings and handles checkout.

  • Customer and participant names, contact details, selected classes, waitlist requests, notes, marketing preference and waiver information. Child bookings can include age, guardian details and guardian acceptance.
  • Booking, payment and attendance records held in FullClass. Direct browser connections to FullClass also disclose IP address and browser information.
  • Our server passes booking and waitlist details to FullClass. Card details go to the payment provider's secure fields. FullClass sends booking and payment updates back so we can confirm bookings and update customer contacts.

The ad-sharing opt-out does not disable this service.

Printful

When the shop is available, provides merchandise, shipping quotes and fulfillment.

  • Our server requests catalogue data. For shipping quotes, Printful receives selected products, quantities and the delivery address. For paid live orders, it also receives your name and email to produce and ship your items. Product image hosts receive your IP address and browser information when photos load.

The ad-sharing opt-out does not disable this service.

Stripe

Processes merchandise and class payments.

  • When you continue to payment, Stripe receives your name, email, delivery address, selected items, prices and shipping charge. Payment details are entered directly on Stripe's hosted page for merchandise purchases.
  • For online class payments, when enabled in FullClass, Stripe receives your billing name, email and phone. Card details are entered in Stripe’s secure fields, and FullClass receives the payment reference.

The ad-sharing opt-out does not disable this service.

Google Maps Platform

When available at shop checkout, suggests and checks US shipping addresses.

  • When address lookup is enabled, Google receives the street text you type, an address-search session token and the address you submit for validation. Requests pass through our server and exclude your name and email.

The ad-sharing opt-out does not disable this service.

Resend

Store inquiry and customer contacts, record email preferences and send shipment tracking emails.

  • Your email address, name when provided, marketing consent and a segment identifying an inquiry, Academy customer or shop customer. Contact records are stored whether or not you opt in to marketing. Shipment emails also use your order reference, carrier, tracking number and tracking link. We do not send Resend your phone number or delivery address.

The ad-sharing opt-out does not disable this service.

Cloudflare and Slack

Keep paid merchandise orders recoverable and report their shipping progress.

  • Cloudflare stores the checkout contact and delivery details, purchased items, payment reference, amount, fulfillment status and shipment-email content and send status. Unpaid records are scheduled for deletion seven days after checkout starts. Fulfilled or canceled order records are scheduled for deletion 90 days after payment; unresolved orders remain until resolved. Order status and tracking references go to the business’s private Slack channel, without your contact or delivery address. Payment card details stay with Stripe.

The ad-sharing opt-out does not disable this service.
